California

Our California Medical Provider Network (MPN), Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies MPN (0145), is a select group of medical providers who treat workers compensation injuries for our carriers including Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Insurance Company, Cypress Insurance Company, Oak River Insurance Company and Redwood Fire and Casualty Insurance Company. The goal is to keep the number of providers in the MPN small enough to gain the benefit of selectivity while still being large enough to ensure that providers will be available in locations throughout the state.

Berkshire Hathaway has an approved California Utilization Plan you can review for more information. (September 4, 2020)

All treatment requests should be faxed to the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies’ dedicated utilization review fax number (415) 675-4230.
